An attractive Coalport part tea service with a mint green border, the set decorated with fabulous hand-painted English scenes with gilt highlights. The teacups and the coffee cups are called Adelaide shape, which is named in honour of Queen Adelaide, wife of King William IV (reigned 1830-1837). The set has no manufacturers mark apart from handwriting pattern number 3/215 on the back, it was made between 1830-1840.

Condition Report

The set has rubbing to the gold and condition issues, please read carefully.

One coffee cup has a fine crack on one side

One teacup has a very tiny short hairline under the cup rim.

One teacup has been repaired on the rim.

One teacup has a fine crack on the body.

One saucer has 3 cracks and one chip on the back.

Two saucers have tiny little chips on the back near the rim.

The cake plate has a fine crack near centre which visible on the back.

The remaining pieces and the slop bowl are in excellent antique condition. The slop bowl rings well. This is still a beautiful display set.

 

Please note that all items we sell are not new, they are either vintage or antique condition, they may have some stains, kiln dust, minor surface scratches, normal signs of wear from use, or even some manufacturing imperfections.
