Beautiful antique early 19th Century Minton teacup and saucer with Q shape handle. The duo is decorated with hand-painted floral panels on a white ground with a gold and sky blue border. The exterior has applied bunches of flowers on a white ground. The cup has no mark but pattern number 3556. The saucer has the trademark of London retailer J. Allsup of 16 St Paul's Church Yard, rather than that of the manufacturer. 

St Paul's Church-Yard has been a centre for the London ceramic retail trade since at least the early eighteenth century. 


Condition Report

The duo has light surface scratches, and very minor rubbing, otherwise is in excellent antique condition without damage or crazing.


The picture has "bright areas" which are reflections, not damage.
