Stunning early 19th century part tea service by Job Ridgway & Son(s), the cups are Bute shape and has a double kick in the loop handle. The service was made between 1810-1815 which is known as the Regency period.
The set is delicately decorated with a cobalt blue and gilt pattern around the border, the centre of the saucers and plates are finished with a gilt bunch of acorns. There is no manufacturers mark, but most pieces have pattern number 444 on the base.
The set consists of:
One teapot and stand (Teapot has a tiny little nip on the rim of the spout)
Six teacups ( One cup has a fine crack to the rim)
Six saucers are light rubbing.
One creamer the gold on the handle is very worn.
One sugar box and lid (Tiny little nip inside of the rim)
One round plate 19cm.
One round plate 21.5cm.
The set is mainly in very good antique condition, some of them have micro crazing hardly noticeable. One cup has a fine short crack to the rim but still usable. The gold decoration on the creamer handle is very worn. The teapot has a very tiny little nip on the rim of the spout which does not impact its usability and can be clearly seen in the picture. The sugar box has a tiny little nip inside of the rim. The remaining pieces have no damage but do have some light rubbing to the gilt.
The picture has "bright areas" which are reflections, not damage.
