High quality rare antique Rockingham teapot includes matching teapot stand, the south Yorkshire pottery firm.

The teapot is decorated in blue and gold. The lid is topped with the unique crown finial. It is marked with in very low pattern number of 2/75.

Manufactured c1830.

This teapot is similar on the cover of " Rockingham Pottery and Porcelain 1745-1842" by Alwyn Cox and Angela Cox.

 

Condition report

The teapot is in excellent antique condition with no sign of damage, there is very fine micro crazing and spots of fine kiln dust underneath.
There is some rubbing to the colour on the body, some wear to the gold especially on the handle and under the spout, please study pictures carefully.

 

The picture has "bright areas" which are reflections not damage.
